The Precious Panda Cafe was but a humble pop up cafe located in a live work loft in Lower Queen Anne, Seattle, WA. It was a weekend cafe partnered with Caffe Vita and Cupcake Royale to bring weekend treats and a chill spot to relax and say hello to the panda herself.
The Precious Panda was inspired by the owner’s pitbull mix, Kilani, or Kiki for short. The owner, Theresa Bowman, is very much a foodie and an emotional eater. She has joked about eating her feelings and named her Panda Cupcake flavors after what kind of emotions overcame her and guests at events. What started out as a bake sale grew slightly bigger as a semi-permanent vehicle to support and sponsor bully breeds, rescues and city shelters. A percentage of the sales went towards sponsoring a bully breeds adoption fee or vet bills. Rather than just asking for donations, why not give a little back, encourage a community, help pups, and the organizations that support them?
Theresa ran the cafe while she was still serving in the Air Force. Theresa and her husband, Michael Bowman, shut down the store front and focused their efforts to online commodities. They still participate in festivals around Seattle to raise funds for veterans and bully breeds. Shifting their efforts to platforms such as Amazon and Ebay allowed them to free up time to develop relationships with the people and animals they ultimately wanted to help. Items purchased from these platforms allow us to give back to the causes we are passionate about. Thank you for your support!
